At A Tech Installs, you pay once, plain and simple. We don't play games with pricing – no theatrics, no random numbers. Our costs are fair and carefully calculated, reflecting the skills of our expert engineers. How we work

- We charge a minimum of 1-hour on hourly rate work. We then charge per 30-minute units after

- Payment must be made in full upon receipt of the invoice by bank transfer, cash or credit/debit card (our chip & pin machines provide a secure method)

- All materials are billed at the purchased prices without any markup and are subject to VAT.

- We aim to minimize material collection for non-van stock items, and any associated time spent will not be charged for more than 30 minutes, even if it goes beyond this duration.

- You will be provided with a digital invoice by default (unless you request a hard copy). These invoices contain a comprehensive description of the work, including the time spent, along with a detailed breakdown of both labor and materials.


  • What is Your minimum charge?

    Plan for a minimum one-hour charge for plumbing work. Following that, you'll be billed for additional plumbing labor costs in half-hour increments for the rest of the project, along with any material expenses.

  • Do you charge a call out fee?

    If the plumbing professional is unable to proceed with the service due to conditions beyond their control that you haven't informed us about, a call-out charge of 1 hour, including any parking fees (if applicable), will be applied.

  • If I'm considering upgrading my old boiler, will there be any charges for a quote?

    No, we handle our quoting process personally. Our experts will visit your location and provide a no-obligation quote for your boiler replacement. This assessment considers the best working practices, manufacturers' requirements, and building regulations to ensure your home is compliant. While we no longer offer online quotes, we are happy to provide an estimate based on the information you provide. If that seems suitable, we can then arrange a visit to confirm the works and schedule the installation for you.

  • What is the price for tap replacement?

    The cost of replacing a tap is based on our hourly rate. If you've already bought the tap and there's no need for extra materials, it usually takes around an hour. In some cases, it might take a bit longer.
